A place rooted in land and memory
EtiUwem sits on the brow of a lush hill in Ikot Nseyen, overlooking a valley of streams, swamp, and forest life.
This land lies along the historic migration route of the Ikot Nseyen people, whose ancestors journeyed from Ndon Uwem, literally “the land of good life,” in search of a place to settle. Ndon Uwem was the final stop in that journey. The village itself is named after Nseyen, a powerful woman and founder of the community.

From this lineage comes the name
the good life, good living
This is not just a centre built on land. It is a centre shaped by story.
